How to Make a Dried Orange Garland

  • Author: Shayna Krajewski

Description

Add some Scandinavian touches to your home this holiday with an orange garland.

Scale

Ingredients

  • 45 Naval Oranges (you can mix up the oranges or add grapefruit too)
  • Serrated knife
  • Cutting board
  • Cookie sheets
  • Parchment paper
  • Wire or twine

Instructions

Line your cookie sheets with parchment paper and preheat oven to 225°F.

Slice oranges 1/4 inch thick and place on cookie sheet.

Blot the oranges with a paper towel to help soak up juices and start the drying process.

Place in over for 4-5 hours, flipping them halfway.

Once oranges are cool, using a sewing needle, thread twine or string to poke through the flesh of the orange.

If you do not have a sewing needle, I just poked holes with a knife and threaded it through.

These are cute for a garland or to have in a bowl.
